Repurposing blog posts on Pinterest is one of my favorite ways to get more traffic on some of your most popular blog posts. Get my easy tips for getting new viral clicks and traffic to your website using these top social media marketing tips.

How to get more traffic to your website by repurposing old Content
One of my absolute favorite blogging tips is to repurpose your old content to get new traffic to your website. As a busy female entrepreneur, I know how hard it is to constantly create new blogging content (though if you are struggling for ideas, this post on creating endless blog post ideas can help!).
Writing a blog post may take you hours, so why let your precious writing die in the vaults of your blog. Using some of these tips can not only bring new life and traffic to your posts, but ultimately serve your reader and ideal client.
Tip One: Create New Pins for Old Blog Posts
Creating fresh pins for your old blog posts is one of my favorite Pinterest marketing strategies for old and new bloggers alike. I have tested this on multiple accounts with a wide range of audiences and also niches. It works! Below is a Google analytics clip from from one of my original blog posts when my website launched in 2017. To the right, you can see the traffic rise again. What’s my secret to success?
In this particular blog post, I created ALL NEW pins and uploaded them to Pinterest (look for the “+” sign, add the URL, and then add a refreshed Pinterest description). I don’t completely rewrite the Pinterest description, but I often update the hashtags and add to the description a bit. This is my favorite tip for getting new traffic to an old blog post.
Tip Two: Talk about your blog post on Instagram Stories
Instagram stories are a really powerful way to show know, like, trust and really allow your audience to get to know your personality (you can follow me here!). If you are struggling for what to share on Instagram (other than cute boomerangs of your kids), grab an old blog post and talk about it in stories! Your engagement will soar (and you can direct them to the original blog post).
Tip Three: Add Video
Did you know that by 2021, it is predicted that 80% of viral content on the internet will be video? If you’ve had a popular blog post in the past, there’s a good chance that adding video to that post, especially if it’s a YouTube video (YouTube is owned by Google) that you can use to enrich the traffic and SEO to that post. Video (you can subscribe to my YouTube channel here) has been a huge part of my marketing strategy, especially in the earlier days.
What about you, have you had success with these strategies? I’d love to know in the comments!
