How to get more saves on Pinterest
If you been using Pinterest for business a while, you’ll notice that they changed the term ‘pin’ to ‘save’. In this post, I’ll use those terms interchangeably, but I think I prefer ‘pin’. It communicates the whimsy of Pinterest as a visual search engine— a digital pin board collecting inspiration and ideas. In this video, I’m sharing my favorite WordPress plug-in for getting the most pins. Every website and blog format is different, but websites don’t always automatically include an easy way to pin images to Pinterest. Some people use the in-house Pinterest pin-it button, but if they haven’t downloaded that, it can be difficult and clunky to save content from your website to Pinterest.
Let’s make it super easy for your user and reader by using my favorite WordPress plugin: jQuery Pin It Button. This plug-in creates a Pinterest icon over each image, making saving and pinning images of your content to Pinterest super accessible. By getting more pinned content on Pinterest, you’ll ultimately increase your blog traffic and visibility to your brand. Best of all, the jQuery Pin it button is free and found by searching in the plugins section of your WordPress dashboard.
